Hohenschwangau (December 2017)

The village of Hohenschwangau is all about King Ludwig II. He built the famous Schloss Neuschwanstein. The castle was the inspiration for Disney’s Sleeping beauty.
We visted the castle, and some villages around Hogenschwangau.

Our hotel was a small boutique hotel. It is walking distance to restaurants and both famous castles. From our room we could see the illuminated Schloss Neuschwanstein.

Potsdam and Rakotz Brücke (October 2016)

Rakotzbrücke, Park Kromlau in Gablenz (DE, 2016)

On the Internet we found images of the Rakotz Brucke. This is an amazing looking old bridge, in Kromlau Park, close to Gablenz and the Polish border. The Rakotz Brucke is one of the so called “Devils Bridges”. It is build around 1860. When there is no wind, the refelction of t he bridge is a perfect circle in the lake.

Potsdam was a very suitable place to stay. There is a lot to see: castles (Sanssouci, Babelberg); Hollandischer Viertel; Glienikcer Brucke (or the Spybridge”).
