Stopover Singapore

9-10 May: After arrival of our flight we found our way to the Crowne Plaza hotel in Terminal 2. Before calling it a day, we had a quick bite to eat in Jewel shopping area of Changi and visited the vortex waterfall.

25-28 May: The stay was a bit longer, 2 full days instead of 1 night, so we opted for a hotel in the city center.
We stayed downtown mostly. We did a walk around Marina Bay by day and night. The i Light festival was almost starting, so some nice light-exhibits were already active. We visited the Supertree Grove of Gardens by the Bay, both by day and by night. We enjoyed the lightshow during a rain shower. The Spectra show at Marina Bay lost most of it’s attractions as the lasers that were participting in the show before, have been discontinued. The show is still nice to see, but lost it’s excellence in the genre. Most specetacular was our visit to Future World “where art meets science” exhibition in ArtScience Museum. The Crystal Universe exhibit was a true example of art & science as the lights in the crystals could be managed by visitors via a website on the smartphone.
