Cathedral Grove - MacMillan Provincial Park (2017)

MacMillan is famous for it’s old trees. In Cathedral Grove two trails are available, one on each side of the very busy highway from Nanaimo. A boardwalk leads alongside the oldest and most interesting tree formations

Juan de Fuca - Port Renfrew (2017)

The surrounding area of Port Renfrew has a lot of beaches that are very worth visiting: Botanical Beach, China Beach and French Beach. On Sombrio Beach a hidden waterfall can be found, impossible to photograph, but nice to visit. Avatar Grove is an interesting rain forest area, a board walk leads towards gnarly trees.

Kootenay National Park (2005, 2016)

Kootenay is part of the Rocky mountains and is located in the Western part.

Pacific Rim National Park - Tofino-Ucluelet (2017)

The coastal area between Tofino and Ucluelet is the Pacific Rim National Park. The whole area consists of rain forests and beautiful beaches.

Vancouver (2015, 2017)

Things to do in Vancouver: Biking in Stanley park (totem poles), view of downtown Vancouver (specifically at night when the skyscrapers are illuminated), walk downtown.

Victoria (2010, 2012, 2015, 2017)

Victoria is the capitol of Vancouver Island. Interesting to visit are: downtown Victoria, Fishermans warf, BUtchart Gardens, etc.

Wells Grey Park (2005)

Wells Grey is known for it’s spectacular waterfalls.

Yoho National Park (2016)

Yoho is in British Columbia, it connects with Banff- and Kootenay National Parks. During the day trip to Yoho we only saw the spiral tunnels, where trains make a comlete 360 degrees turn and as such drive “above” themselves. Field is a small village in the area.
